Reed Miller - Executive Director

Reed is a historic carpenter, timber framer, and nonprofit administrator.
Born and raised in the Flathead Valley, his hands-on education has brought him to France, Spain, Tanzania, and North House Folk School in Minnesota, where he has been inspired by mentors and crafts people of all different trades.

Jeffrey Funk - Founder, Program Director

Jeffrey has been blacksmithing in Bigfork, Montana for the past four decades. With work ranging from plowshares to public sculpture, his recent emphasis has been on a wide variety of architectural metalwork and tools of all types. A regular demonstrator at conferences around the country, as well as instructor at numerous craft schools for many years, Jeffrey is directing his primary attention to sharing this extraordinary craft of blacksmithing.

Bryce Andrews - Board of Directors

Bryce is a rancher, conservationist, and the author of three award-winning books. His writing is rooted in agriculture and the changing landscapes of the American West. He lives with his family near Arlee, Montana.

Brigand Kline - Board of Directors

Brigand served in the Navy for the better part of a decade and received his BS in Naval Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy. He later received his master’s degree at San Diego State University with an emphasis on finance, entrepreneurship, and management. Upon leaving the Navy in 2001, Brigand worked as a financial planner and in 2015 launched his own company, Mission Trails Financial™ with his wife,
Kristin.

Dave Hadden - Board of Directors

Dave sees the New Agrarian School as an exceptional learning place for students who are passionate about metalworking, craft, and excellence. That’s why he is serving on the school’s board of directors. The school’s facilities are second to none as is the instruction. Dave retired from a career as director of a regional conservation organization and has also served 16 years on the board of a local Nordic skiing club. Dave hopes his experience and skills with non-profit organizations can help secure the future of the New Agrarian School. Dave spends as much time as possible in the out-of-doors, hiking, skiing, and camping.
